Snow realityNo overselling

Wanlong is where Chongli regulars actually ski. Still mostly man-made snow — this is Chongli, not Hokkaido — but the fall line is real: proper sustained steeps off the top, and the snow guns plus altitude keep it open from November to mid-April. On a cold midweek morning with fresh grooming, the top-to-bottom runs here are the best lift-served skiing within 4 hours of Beijing.

Come here for

  • ✓Advanced skiers who find Thaiwoo and Secret Garden too flat
  • ✓Anyone extending the season — reliably first to open, last to close
  • ✓Mileage-hungry intermediates: top-to-bottom laps of 500 m+ vertical

Skip it if

Complete beginners and village-scene seekers — the base area is functional, not charming, and it's the priciest day pass in Chongli.

Getting there

Beijing–Taizicheng HSR (~1 hr), then ~30 min taxi (≈¥80–100). Slightly further from the station than Thaiwoo/Secret Garden.

Where to stay

A handful of base-area hotels (Double Dragon, etc., ~$70–150); most visitors stay in Chongli town 20 min away for better value and food options.

How tickets actually get bought

WeChat mini-program and Meituan/Fliggy; little English support. Weekday passes are meaningfully cheaper — avoid weekends if you can.
